Lausanne and Biel are surprising the league. Fribourg is the big disappointment for now.

Lausanne and Biel are the surprises of the first games in this years league. Initially donated has bottom of the championship the two teams are doing better than defend themselves for that play-off spot. The two ex NHL goalies Cristobal Huet(92.53%) and Jonas Hiller(93.60%) aren't strange  to their success. Both goalies are giving their defenses enough confidence and motivation to get the job done. Has extra Biel led by Robbie Earl(14points) has also the best attack in the league.

Zurich has expected is already in the first place. But still isn't the team that we all expected. David Rundblad and their piers can do offensively a much better job. Contrary to Zurich, Zug have some defensive problems but are compensated with an attack already in shape.

Kloten a candidate to play-out spot are doing really good, having in mind they started only with three foreign players. Drew Shore is the surprise player in the beginning of the season with 7 goals in 10 games.

In the downside of the table we have the Langnau, Ambri and specially Fribourg doing a poor job. Initially a possible contender for the title Fribourg is having big problems to convince their supporters that they can do a much better job. The changing of the coaching staff last week and the absence of Roman Cervenka in the World Cup doesn't explain all.

Bern, Lugano and Davos three teams that we expect a lot, are for now a little bit shy in the league for different reasons. Bern with some important injuries, Davos with inexperienced goalies. Lugano is the most tricky case, but the absence of Elvis Merzlikins for one month could explain the some what bad start.
