Goals galore in Vilnius as Mogo crushes Punks
Latvians dominate with a 12–1 victory, Daugaviņš shines, and Akureyri edges Narva in overtime to close group play. Read more»

For the first time since 2022 the capital will once again have a team in Sweden's top league.
After being relegated in 2022 after losing the relegation playoff against Timrå 0-4, Djurgården is back in Sweden's top league SHL again. The final of Hockeyallsvenskan was a hot derby between the two big clubs of the Swedish capital Stockholm, Djurgården and AIK. Unfortunately no away supporters were allowed due to security reasons.
Djurgården won the regular season and it was no surprise to see them in the finals, a bit more surprising that AIK reached the final after finishing 6th in the regular season.
But in the final it was no real question about it and Djurgården won the final 4-1 after also winning the fifth final game with the same score. After three close games (including two overtimes) Djurgården won the last two games 5-0 and 4-1, clinching the promotion.
The team was lead by former NHL player Marcus Krüger who also was also named the MVP of the playoffs. Another Marcus, the controversial loan from Leksand in SHL, the talented goalie Marcus Gidlöf also played his part with two great efforts in net in the two last games.
