All Swedish teams that participates in 2015/16 Champions Hockey League have managed to qualify to the next round.
All eight Swedish teams have managed to qualify for the next round and it's quite an amazing result for Swedish hockey. The competition is fierce with 48 teams from all over Europe, so it is a great test to see how the Swedish League is compared to other.
Linköping HC, HV71, Skellefteå AIK, Luleå HF, Frölunda HC and Växjö Lakers won their groups. Djurgårdens IF and Färjestad BK ended up in second place and qualified. The 1/16 finals will start on September 22nd and the rematch will be played on October 6th.
The Swedish teams have all said that they're taking the CHL Tournament very serious and so far they haven't let any fans down. It's been a great preliminary round with a lot of great hockey and emotions. Hopefully this will continue as the competition in the tournament tense up.
