The outdoor game was played in front of 15 009 spectators and with -12 degrees Celcius. Brynäs started the game best and had a 2-0 lead after the first period after goals by Jonas Nordquist and Andreas Thuresson. For the rest of the game Timrå had a lot of puck and shots on goals much thanks to many Brynäs' penalties but as so many times before this season Timrå was very ineffective and never managed to beat Robin Rahm  who made 35 saves for the shutout and instead Martin Johansson made it 3-0 with a late emtpy net goal and Brynäs defeated Timrå on home ice for the 12th game in a row.

Matt Duchene scored the game winner in his last game for Frölunda when Frölunda won 3-1 at home to Linköping. Linköping had a 1-0 lead (Salmonsson) after two periods and Frölunda had only nine shots on goals in the first two. In the third they only had shots on goal but still managed to score three, two on power play and one empty netter.

Last placed Rögle took a strong point home against top team HV71 after a late equalizer Mathias Tjärnqvist with 1:05 left to play. Patrik Carlsson scored the game winning shootout goal and scored all three goals for the guests.

Skellefteå and Färjestad switched the lead a couple of times but in the end it was Skellefteå who won 5-4 after a great individual effort by Joakim Lindström who skated past his defender and tipped it in with  1:52 left only 18 seconds after Per Åslund had tied the game to 4-4. Färjestad had the lead 0-1, 1-2, and 2-3. Marius Holtet made it 2-3 only 18 seconds into the third but Skellefteå tied it 3-3 only 18 seconds later.

Luleå had the lead away both 1-0 and 2-1 (Persson and Fransson) but MoDo came back twice with goals from Skröder and Steen. The game went to overtime where MoDo got a power play chance. MoDo didn't score on the power play but in the last minute of the overtime Kyle Cumiskey scored the game winner to please the home crowd with two points.
