For the first time Cracovia Krakow brings an international trophy to Poland, winning the 2022 Continental Cup
Cracow Krakow writes its own history and that of Polish hockey tonight: for the first time the club and the country have won an international trophy. Continental's victory is well deserved and in the two games in Aalborg, Denmark, Krakow proved to be the most solid and prepared team. And finally the Silver Plate comes, chased by the club for many years and denied in the last edition by another Danish club, SonderjyskE

The decisive victory against the hosts Aalborg Pirates was clear and unquestionable
The Pirates, supported by the public, have a full-throttle start, immediately threatening the Polish goalkeeper Perevozchikov, while the first danger for the home goal comes after four minutes with a shot by Jiri Gula, match-winner last night against Saryarka. The game is open and enjoyable, with the Pirates retaining a slight lead. It takes a piece of Collin Shirley's skill to open the score: at 07:05 the Canadian forward enters the Danish defense beating Soegaard with a classy move. A minute later the Poles double: Anton Zlobin finds the net after a shot by Ivan Vorobiev rebounded. The Pirates have the best chance at minute 9, but Perevozchikov is outstanding stretching the leg to catch Mikkel Hojbjerg's deflection.
In the central period, after a minute, comes the third goal of Krakow, scored by Dmitri Ismagilov. The Pirates fail to have great chances while Krakow could close the game in the 34th minute when Anton Zlobin hits the post straight. Two minutes from the siren, a Soegard's incredible save avoids a certain goal
The last period sees the Pirates constantly attacking trying to find at least a late consolation goal and Cracovia using the counterattack. But the Russian goalkeeper Perevozchikov is a wall, against which the Danish attempts hit.
With a minute and a half from the end Krakow scores into an empty net with Damian Kapica who then exults controversially near the Pirates players who react. However, the game ends with the deserved Polish triumph
