A shortbenched Steelers side held on to beat AAlborg Pirates in the second game of group F.

 
 
 
 

An already shortbenched Steelers side lost Brendan Connolly midway through the game but absorved the pressure from the Danes to come out as 3-1 winners. 

The scoring was opened minutes from the end of period one as ANTHONY DELUCA shot home a shot from the point. Try as they might Aalborg could not score until  Alexei KUDRYAVTSEV levelled things up. However a breakway, after a turnover, saw Sointu slide a pas acros to MARTIN LATAL to bury it past Sorensen to put Steelers back in the lead. Then with a second to go MATHIAS SOINTU shot into the empty net to make it three
