HC Davos, the 2011 champion, ended the NLA regular season in second placed but lost four straight games to seventh placed ZSC Lions in the quarter finals to face elimination.

 
 
 
 
ZSC Lions - HC Davos 1-0 (ZSC wins series 4-0)
The sweep is complete. Zürich eliminated Davos in four straight games. Tonight one goal was enough. Patrik Bärtschi scored the only goal of the game assisted by Luca Cunti at 33:22. Lukas Flüeler has played all four games in the net, but tonight he earned his first shutout.

EHC Biel - EV Zug 4-3 (Zug leads series 3-1)
Biel got its first win against Zug thanks to 2 third period goals by Philipp Wetzel. Joel Fröhlicher and Ahren Spylo had scored 1-0 and 2-0 for the home team in the first period. Josh Holden scored all three goals for Zug.

HC Lugano – Fribourg 0-2 (series tied 2-2)
Fribourg got an essential win away to Lugano to tie the series at 2. Simon Gamache made it 1-0 an the last minute of the first period. Fribourg increased the lead at 22:26 when Pavel Rosa scored after an individual mistake by a Lugano defender. Cristobal Huet guarded the Fribourg net.

SC Bern - Kloten Flyers 4-1 (Bern leads series 3-1)
Bern got closer to the semis after today’s 4-1 win against Kloten. David Jobin scored twice in the opening period to give Bern a solid lead. Martin Plüss made it 3-0 with a little more than a minute remaining of the second period. Micki Dupont scored Kloten’s only goal at 43:36 but Plüss secured the win at 52:30 with his second goal.

Ambri-Piotta - SCL Tigers 1-4 (SCL wins playdown series 4-0)
Thomas Nüssli, Paul Di Pietro, Lukas Haas and Kurtis McLean scored for SCL when they beat Ambri-Piotta 4-1 to stay in the NLA.

Lakers – Genève 2-1 (Lakers lead playdown series 3-1)
Lakers ended the season on the last place but are now close to knocking out Genève in the playdowns. Tonight’s game was won 2-1 after a first period goal by Antonio Rizzello and 2-0 at 55:40 by Lukas Grauwiler. Dan Fritsche gave Genève some hope after a goal at 57:32 but it was too late.
