While many countries that have prematurely ended the championships, Ukraine and Spain want to finish the season with a crowned champion

 
 
 
 

Almost all the leagues in Europe forcedly finished the season in March without awarded a title, due to Covid-19 outbreak. But in two countries the local Federations try to complete the season crowning a champion: in Spain and Ukraine the league, in both cases at the playoffs stage, will finish in September, few weeks before the start of the new season.

In Ukraine the League was stopped before the semifinals, the Federation already decided the dates for the series in September

Regular season winner HC Kremenchuk will face Bilyỹ Bars Bila Tserkva on  September 1, 2, 5, 6, with further matches, if necessary, be held on September 8, 10 and 12.
The most interesting pair Donbass Donets'k - Dnipro Kherson will be played on September 2, 3, 6, 7, with further matches, if necessary, be held be held on September 9, 11 and 13.

The first match of the finals will take place two days after the end of the last series of 1/2 finals, but no later than September 16, thus the final series will be held on September 16-17, September 20-21, and if necessary, matches will also be held on September 23, 25 and 27. If the semi-final series ends after 4-6 matches, the final series will begin earlier.


In Spain the Liga Nacional have to play just the final series between title holder Txuri Urdin San Sebastian and CG Puigcerdà finished 4th out of 5 in the regular season, but able to knocked out regular season winner Barça Hoquei Gel. The dates for the finals are: September 12 and 19 with a third game if necessary on September 20. Because of the compressed calendar, Federationannounced Barça HG will compete in next Continental Cup as winner of regular season
