Russia has started the 2018 World Championship with three wins and a 20-0 goal difference. Today Belarus was defeated 6-0.
Veteran Pavel Datsyuk scored twice and added an assist when Russia cruised to another win at the World Championship in Denmark. After 7-0 wins over France and Austria today’s opponent Belarus was beaten 6-0.
It was Datsyuk who scored the first goal at 5:27. Maxim Shalunov and Ilya Kablukov also scored before Datsyuk got his second goal for 4-0 late in period two. Maxim Mamin and Kirill Kaprizov added a goal each in the third period for the final score of 6-0.
Igor Shestyorkin made 18 saves for the shutout.
