Renon needs a victory to keep hopes alive after the unlucky debut against Yunost, while Nomad, after a brilliant first game against Sheffield, want three more points to come at the decisive clash with Yunost tomorrow. Both teams already crossed the sticks during semi-finals in Collalbo, when Nomad won 3-1. Kazakh team added goalie Dmitri Malgin as back-up in the roster; Renon has defender Bretton Stamler back in the ice after the suspension. After a couple of chances for Nomad, Renon opens the score thanks to Alex Frei, dogged in recovering and protecting a puck in his defensive zone, serving Kyle Jean for a brilliant finish. Surviving a power play, Renon doubles the score with a precise shot by Roland Hofer served by Thomas Spinell. One minute after the goal Ivan Vereschagin fires on goalie Killeen a great chance all alone in front of the cage-

The central period sees Nomad more aggressive even without important chances, Renon has a goal disallowed by video review, Thomas Spinell sanctioned with a major penalty for misconduct and a great chance at minute 38 with Simon Kostner: his deflection is saved with difficult by Kramar. From the possible goal to close the question to the one that postpone at the decisive third period: with one-minute left, the quick attack of Dmitri Grents results in a smart pass to Nikita Mikhalis, unhindered to aim and shot behind Killeen. Five minutes in the last period after wasting several chances, Nomad finds the deserved second goal with Dmitri Grents, able to find the net after a well-prepared action. Same Grents has another chance right aft Killeen is reactive and deflects. Canadian goalie is brilliant on Asetov at 48, while his team lose the brilliance showed in first 40 minutes, notching the first shot on Kramar cage only after 13 minutes. Right after a penalty, Asetov has a great chance to score, Killeen is reactive in deflecting, but the Kazakh forward is too selfish not serving a teammate better positioned. Despite the pressure, Renon withstands until the end of period and at overtime, despite a couple of good chances for Kazakh. At the shoot-out Grents and Lutz both score the first series, Viktor Ahlstrom scores, while Petukhov has his shot rebounds, Nikita Mikhalis nets his penalty shot, Kramar saves on Oskar Ahlstrom, Ilya Kovzyalov and Kyle Jean not convert, Pavel Zdhakhin scores while Alex Frei finally has his shot rebounded for a 2 points victory for Nomad, now has to bet everything on game against Yunost. Renon is officially eliminated from the race for the plate
