Let’s begin in memory of the Lokomotiv!

In Ufa there has passed a meeting between the finalists of last season. Teams struggled for the “Lokomotiv Cup", till this day a called “Cup of Opening". Also, this match was the debut for the Bengt-Åke Gustafsson in a new league. For the hosts the match opening was discouraging. By the fourth minute “Atlant" was in the lead-2:0. It has been made for 25 seconds. In the end of the first period of Branko Radivojevic has increased the advantage for the visitors.

But they have found forces. To the beginning of the third period the result was 2:3. Then Richard Stehlik and Igor Grigorenko realized the power-play twice. And for 20 seconds till the end of a match all same Grigorenko has summed up, 5:3.

In the beginning of the duel we were close to power-play realization, but have committed errors. As a result, the two first shots on our goal became productive. After the first period we needed to rectify the situation. And it must be said, in activity and in number of shots we have surpassed the contender. We have taken the initiative, have moved in the account. Players have shown the present courage. You see that the beginning of the championship at us has turned out sad, all of us have together endured the tragedy."

Bengt-Åke Gustafsson, coach “Atlant": “I congratulate the colleagues from Ufa on the victory. "Salavat Yulayev" has led today a good match: has managed to win, conceding three goals. Yes, we, maybe, also looked well, could hook at least on one point, but "Salavat" has perfectly returned to game and has shown, who here were the owner."
