It’s a Welsh party in Grenoble
Cardiff Devils won by one-goal-difference against home side Grenoble and advances to the Continental Cup Superfinals along with Nomad Astana
After a first half without goals but with a prevalence of Grenoble, in the central period it was Cardiff who opened the score after just over a minute with a goal from Justin Crandall, who netted an easy assist from Jamie Arniel, with the defense of Grenoble not flawless on this occasion. At this point Grenoble, who have scored only one goal in the entire tournament so far, should win by 4 goals.
But in the third period the same pattern as the entire tournament is repeated for the home team: constant possession of the puck, many shots but no goals. Grenoble's overall statistics on shots on target are noteworthy: in three matches he has only scored one goal, actually an own goal, out of 133 shots on goal
It will therefore be Cardiff Devils, for the celebration of the numerous fans present in France, and Nomad Astana who will play the Superfinals, in a venue yet to be determined, in January
