Jan Marek scored 1-0 for Atlant after 8 minutes. The lead would be kept for 18 minutes. When Atlant's Fedor Fedorov got a major penalty Salavat scored twice to take the lead. Igor Grigorenko scored both. 3-1 was added by Sergei Zinoviev with a couple of minutes remaining of the second period.
