After a terrific Czech opening Sweden scored seven goals in a row to win in Znojmo and to secure the first place of Euro Hockey Tour.

Patrik Cehlin and Robert Rosén scored two goals each and Linus Omark had four assists when Sweden embarrassed Czech Republic in Znojmo tonight. The home team dominated the first period and opened with two goals in the first half on goals by Tomas Zohorna and Petr Koukal. Robert Rosén got the first Swedish goal at 15:43.

Linus Hultström tied it from the blueline in the 8th minute of period two and ten minutes later PAtrik Cehlin gave Sweden the lead on a deflection. After the Swedes had taken the lead it appeared as if the Czechs didn’t want to play more and they didn’t put up a fight in the last period when Sweden scored four unanswered goals.

Sweden needed one point from the game to secure the overall win of the Euro Hockey Tour. The teams play again in Znojmo on Friday. Russia plays Finland tomorrow and on Saturday.
