North American team crushed the competition routing Mexico in the final. Colombia wins a brilliant bronze in first international competition
Pan-American Tournament closed on Sunday in Mexico City with the foregone conclusion: team Canada, formed by former minor leagues players, crushed 7-0 Mexico national team in the final capturing the unprecedented title. Canada had a perfect record in the competition, hammering all the opponents for a final 56-6 goals difference. Host Mexico, who has spared no efforts to organize this tournament, finished second having played a decent game in qualifying group against Canada, loosing 3-6, but without offering much resistance in the final. Argentina finished 4th and Brazil at the bottom, loosing all the game included the one against arch-rival Argentina 3-5.
In the women's tournament Sudbury Lady Wolves, representing Canada, won the gold medal beating Mexico 8-0 in the final
