Milan’s olympic arena: race against time, money and expectations
Delays, funding disputes, and NHL warnings put pressure on Milan’s flagship Olympic venue as the 2026 Winter Games draw near. Read more»

The group stage of the European Trophy ended Sunday with six games. Four Swedish and one Finnish team will join hosting Eisbären Berlin at the Red Bulls Salute in December.
Last season eight clubs qualified for the European Trophy playoffs (Red Bulls Salute) but this season only six of the 32 teams get the opportunity to fight for the title. Last season's champion Luleå and the runner-up Färjestad both qualified for the playoffs again and since they are placed in different groups we may see a replay of the final match-up.
Luleå and Färjestad as well as JYP and Djurgården qualified as group winners. The sixth spot went to Frölunda who was the second placed team with best record.
In Group A the home team Eisbären Berlin will play Frölunda and Färjestad. Group B consists of Finnish JYP and another two Swedish teams; Djurgården and Luleå.
The Red Bulls Salute will be played in Wellblechpalast and o2 World in Berlin December 19-22.
