Swiss Player Golden Awards Nominations

Professional hockey players have voted and elected the best player of the 2011/2012 season playing in Switzerland.

The five players in each category who received the most votes from their colleagues were nominated for the sixth edition of the Swiss Golden Player Award, which will be held November 25 at the Stade de Suisse in Bern.

Nominees for each category of Swiss Golden Player Award in the category of hockey are:

Best goalie: Marco Bührer (CP Berne), Leonardo Genoni (HC Davos), Reto Berra (HC Bienne), Lukas Flüeler (ZSC Lions), Tobias Stephan (Genève-Servette HC).

Best Defender: Beat Gerber (CP Berne), Maxim Noreau (HC Ambri-Piotta), Mathias Seger (ZSC Lions), Félicien Du Bois (Kloten Flyers), Micki Dupont (Kloten Flyers)

Best forward: Andres Ambühl (ZSC Lions), Roman Wick (ex-Kloten Flyers), Damien Brunner (EV Zoug), Inti Pestoni (HC Ambri-Piotta), Simon Bodenmann (Kloten Flyers)

Best Center: Andres Ambühl (ZSC Lions), Luca Cunti (ZSC Lions), Fabian Sutter (EV Zoug), Kevin Romy (ex-HC Lugano), Byron Ritchie (CP Berne)

Best Young Player: Inti Pestoni (HC Ambri-Piotta), Christoph Bertschy (CP Berne), Joël Vermin (CP Berne), Reto Schäppi (ZSC Lions), Gregory Hofmann (ex-HC Ambri-Piotta)

Best NLB Player: Claudio Micheli (GCK Lions), Oliver Setzinger (Lausanne HC), Jeff Campbell (SC Langenthal), Stefan Tschannen (SC Langenthal), Brent Kelly (SC Langenthal)
