Spartak beats HC Lev

Vityaz won their second game after 12 loses, CSKA made another gift for Spartak which is trying to enter the playoffs and beat HC Lev.

Vityaz 3-2 Dinamo Mn

The most sensational result happened in Chekhov where home team Vityaz beat 3-2 Dinamo Minsk. For the Belarus team the game began well, they opened the score with a shot by Zbynek Irgl in power-play at 06:08. Sergei Lesnukhin was one of the best players this night at 12:59 he made a great move and passed to Roman Kudinov who tied the game. A fast counter attack by Ladislav Nagy led to another goal for Dinamo at 17:30. Vityaz rally from this short goal deficit to beat Minsk early in the second. During a 1 minute span Sergei Lesnukhin twice fed up passes to Sergei Goncharov who made it 3-2. Vityaz goalie Danila Alistratov stopped 30 shots and made a big work to a whole deal.

Severstal 2-1 CSKA

Severstal goalie Vadim Tarasov was close to make the second straight shutout but his dreams were closed with 3 seconds remaining in the third. The home team got a quick lead when Nikolai Kazakovtsev used a pass from Mikko Lehtonen to open the scoring at 02:17. In the beginning of the second Yevgeny Ketov increased Severstal's lead. Vadim Tarasov stopped 28 shots this night but the last one from Igor Ozhiganov was a real problem for him. 2-1 for Severstal which is trying to reach a higher position in the West.

Torpedo 2-3 SO Sibir

With 44 seconds played in the first Kim Hirshovits opened the score after a pass from Mikhail Varnakov. Varnakov increased Torpedo's lead after 10 seconds in the power-play, converting early in the second. But Sibir managed to tie the game during a 58 seconds span 4 minutes later with goals by Viktor Alexandrov and Jonas Enlund. The game closed in a shootout series where the Sibir players were more accurate with Alexandrov's final goal in the 6th round. Former Torpedo goalie Bernd Bruckler stoned 40 shots, denied 4 penalty shots and led his team to a victory.

Dynamo Msk 2-0 Metallurg Nk

Dynamo blank Metallurg Nk at home with a 2-0 score. The game was decided in the second when Sergei Soin scored twice during a 5 minute span. First time Sergei Konkov assisted him at 20:51 and then Soin made a double without assistants. Dynamo goalie Alexander Yeryomenko stopped 19 shots and earned his fifth shutout this season.

Spartak 4-2 HC Lev

Spartak doesn’t lose the chance to qualify for the playoffs this season after beating HC Lev 4-2 at home. Oleg Gubin passed to Denis Bodrov who fired to open the score at 02:13. Rastislav Spirko in the middle of the second found himself alone in front of the net and beat Spartak goalie Sergei Borisov in power-play. Borisov made a mistake and Emil Lundberg pulled HC Lev ahead at 32:26. 4 minutes later Anatoly Nikontsev tied the game after a nice pass and sole move by Alexander Komaristy. It was the first goal by Nikontsev since Oct 26. Alexander Yunkov in a power-play scored with a backhand shot to give Spartak a 1-goal lead. Spartak closed the game with 31 seconds remaining in the third when Alexei Zavarukhin scored an empty-net goal.
