Game recap

1,826 fans saw Manchester Storm extend their winning run to four games with an OT win over Fife Flyers.

It was a quick start in the Storm Shelter with the hosts going behind early, but getting themselves ahead in just over 10 minutes. Kyle Osterberg put the Flyers into the lead with 2:33 played in close, but that was cancelled out by an ice Stephen Johnson deke in front of Dominik Salama at 7:03 on the powerplay. The Flyers' new goalie was then beaten by a Loren Ulett shot form the edge of the circle, shorthanded, to see Storm go ahead at 10:47.

Stephen Johnson made it 3-1 2:33 into period two when he was left free after a line change to skate through and score. Vitalijs Pavlovs pulled one back for Fife but they found themselves 4-1 down by the break thanks to Ulett's second of the game.

Johan Eriksson scored 92 seconds into period two, and six minutes later Osterberg tied things up.

Both teams ultimately deserved a point and the game was to be decided in overtime. Tyler Hinam's well-placed shot beat Salama 53 seconds into the bonus period to earn Manchester the extra point.
