Sheffield Steelers win 9-1 on aggregate
A spirited Glasgow Clan effort couldn't overturn a four-goal deficit in Sheffield as the Steelers cruised into the 2020 Challenge Cup Final.
The opening period was goalless although both sides created some decent chances - the Clan however unable to get that all-important first goal past Tomáš Duba.
The Scottish side were made to pay when Lucas Sandström effectively ended the tie with two goals in just over two minutes at 27:35 and 29:51 to put the Steelers six up on aggregate. Marc-Olivier Vallerand made it three on the night for the Steelers shortly before the end of the period.
John Armstrong rounded off the night's scoring with 9:02 to play to give Sheffield a 4-0 win on the night, and a 9-1 aggregate victory.
