Still no decision for World Championship in Switzerland, but its fate is hanging by a thread.
The IIHF has decided to cancel the worlds of D1 A in Ljubljana in Slovenia and D1 B in Katowice in Poland, both from April 27 to May 3.
A meeting was also organized to discuss the world elite of Zurich and Lausanne which should take place from May 8 to 24, 2020.
No decision was made at the end of this meeting in which the participating countries and the broker insurance of the event.
"Stakeholders have openly discussed the complex situation with the coronavirus which affects many countries, teams and participants of the world championship."
The IIHF has informed all parties concerned that it remains in close contact with the Swiss authorities and the insurance company to monitor the situation and its impact on the world championship.
In addition, all other IIHF activities have been canceled until June 30 (seminars, meetings, training camps).
