It was full speed from start when Sweden defeated France. Rickard Rakell who normally plays for Anaheim Ducks in NHL scored after only 24 seconds in the opening period.

 
 
 
 

Elias Pettersson only 19 years old is spotted a brilliant career and did 75 points for Växjö Lakers in SHL past season, did his first point when he served Mikael Backlund a pass after 05:54 in powerplay.

After the second goal the game tempo was significantly reduced and Sweden played offhand and very poor hockey rest of the period.

Second period and team Sweden scored yet another goal through Oliver Ekman-Larsson and 3-0 is a fact. Adam Larsson made a north-south hit on Leclerc in the middle of the game. Leclec started to bleed but it didn’t result in any penalty. The hit started an emotional wave that was significant for the rest of the game.

In the third period Elias Pettersson finally scored after so many scoring attempts with no result and it was 4-0 on the scoreboard. He’s only 19 years old, drafted by Vancouver Canucks and will be a future star player in NHL.
