After one month, two KHL teams replaced their leaders
Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Slovan Bratislava decided to change their plans after one month of competition: both clubs fired the coaching staff announcing a new technical leadership
Lokomotiv sacked head coach Alexei Kudashov and assistant Aleksandr Savchenkov after three seasons on the club bench, due the poor start in the Western Conference, Tarasov Division, where team is currently 4th in the standing, with an 8-6-4 record. Kudashov lead the club to a quaterfinal and a conference final in the past two seasons.
The new coach is Dmitri Kvartalnov, who left last summer CSKA Moscow after three consecutive regular season victories, always being knocked-out in the playoffs, last season from Lokomotiv Yaroslav in Conference semifinals. His assitant will be Igor Gorbenko, from 2011 to 2013 head coach of Yaroslavl MHL team Loko, before to follow Kvartalnov at CSKA.
