For the fourth time in a row Lukko Rauma, the home team, wins the classic Finnish pre-season tournament Pitsiturnaus. The entire tournament with six Liiga teams is played on the same day.
Pitsiturnaus started at 09:00 in the morning with the game Pelicans-HIFK and eleven hours later eight games were played and the final started. How is this possible? The games are only played 2x15 minutes except for the final that is 2x20.
The final was played between Lukko and Sport and the home team got the 1-0 win thanks to a goal by Sami Lähteenmäki in the first period. The win could have been bigger as Lukko was outstanding and outshot the Vaasa team 30-8.
In the semi finals Lukko had eliminated Pelicans while Sport beat TPS. HIFK and Ässät didn't make the playoffs.
All games:
09:00 Pelicans-HIFK 1-1
10:15 Lukko-Ässät 2-1
11:30 Pelicans-TPS 4-2
12:45 Ässät-Sport 1-1

15:15 Lukko-Sport 0-1
