Slovenian Fedration suspended cooperation with Slohokej

Slovenian Fedration suspended cooperation with Slohokej

While Slohokej Liga is playing final series, its future is now uncertain

With five votes for and one abstention, the Bureau of Slovenian Federation, during its 88th meeting, decided to not extend the contract with Slohokej company, expiring the next 31 May, for next season. The decision was made alleging lack of transparency and unprofessional competence in the management of the league, breaches of the contract regarding the management and the decisions' making. Federation also deplores Slohokej doesn't have any vision and program for future development of domestic hockey and failed to find a main sponsor for the league.
This decision means from next season domestic competitions will be managed directly by the Federation, while it's still unclear if this will affect the recent agreement signed by Slohokej and Hungarian Federation to create a common league next season
