After two losses, the situation has been complicated for Vítkovice in this best-of-seven quarterfinals against Třinec. Regardless of that, it was Třinec again to open the goal score one minute to play before end of the first half of the game. Vítkovice tied it up in power-play yet in the second period, but David Musil of the Oceláři Třinec recorded the game-winning-goal in time 44:42. Later, Vítkovice hit the goal-post 10 minutes before the horn, but that was the closest they could get to equalising the score.
