The Belarusian team snapped Atlant's seven-game winning streak on the road and took the lead in the Tarasov Division. Dinamo Minsk took a quick lead with two goals in the first four minutes. Teemu Laine opened the scoring with a quick wrist shot at 2:59 after a nice pass from Andrei Stas. Then Jeff Platt finished a play that went Mikhalyov-Linglet-Platt. Nikolai Zherdev was first on the rebound and cut the Dinamo lead at 8:53. Atlant gifted the home team a chance to play 5-on-3 when David Petrasek and Andrei Zubarev got two penalty minutes each. Jaroslav Obsut with a snap shot from the blue line made it 3-1. Dinamo Minsk gave the same gift in the second and Nikolai Zherdev made a double at 27:11. In the end of the game Obsut made a nice pass to Alexei Meleshko who was in a goalie zone and overplayed Konstantin Barulin. Kevin Lalande played another great game stopping 41 shots.

HC Lev outplayed CSKA and exacerbated the fight for the eighth and last playoff spot in the West. Rastislav Spirko opened the scoring at 28:18 with a pass from Juraj Mikus. In the third period, two goals from Vaclav Nedorost extended Lev's lead to three. First he scored on a power play when Vyacheslav Buravchikov got two minutes for roughing and then scored again at 51:56. Both times Lubos Bartecko assisted on his plays. In the end, CSKA used a power-play chance and Niklas Persson closed it to 3-1. CSKA lost for the eighth game in a row and has given a chance for Lev, Spartak and Vityaz to catch them for a playoff spot in 2012.
