HC Detva officially in Extraliga

1.Liga champion replaces folded MHC Martin

HC 07 Detva has become officially the tenth participant of 2017/2018 Slovak Extraliga. The Executive Board of the Slovak Ice Hockey Association approved an extra license for the club under the condition that Detva will pay the license fee. The champion of last 1.Liga (the Slovak second division) will replace folded MHC Martin

The Board also approved the replacement of Detva in the 1.Liga with HC Nove Zamky B team
