The ZSC Lions are still leading, while the Ticino clubs slowly earn standings

It's been a busy week for the NLA after the international pause: many games were played starting from the one in Lausanne, where Lugano won against the home team 2-6, thus recovering a bit from the bad period which was decisive in causing the firing of its coach Patrick Fischer. The following Thursday, the Lions were defeated by Servette at the shootout, but their win against Zug last Sunday enabled the club from Zurich to hold on the top spot in the league. At the second place, Fribourg won 3-1 both of its match-ups, first against Biel and then against Lugano. Besides the aforementioned win in Lausanne and this loss, the club from Lake Ceresio managed another important win 3-2 against Kloten.

Zug, at the third place, defeated Ambrì-Piotta 5-0, but the following night the Leventinesi were able to defeat Langnau 4-2, thus leaving the last spots on the table, now occupied by Biel and the very same Langnau. Still, Langnau defeated Davos with an impressive score of 6-0; Davos was also beaten away 3-2 by Servette, ending up being the fourth team on the table. Bern basically followed the same pattern, with two straight losses against Lausanne (2-5 at home) and Kloten (4-2 away), thus ending eight in the standings. It is the third defeat in a row for the club from the capital.

Here are the games scheduled for tonight, November 17th:

Ambrì-Piotta - Lausanne

Davos - ZSC Lions

Langnau - Biel

Lugano - SC Bern

Servette - Kloten

EV Zug - Fribourg
