The first game of the best of seven series that was supposed to be played March 8th at 18:00 in Miskolc between the Miskolc and HC Nové Zámky has been cancelled due to HC Nové Zámky not showing up to Miskolc, because of this Miskolc will be given a 5-0 win
When the schedule for the MOL League finals were being discussed HC Nové Zámky had stated that the finals for the Slovak 3rd division, which they are also competing in, would be around the same time as the MOL League finals. The second game would be on March 7th and if there would be a game three that would be on March 9th, Nové Zámky also stated that if the Slovak finals would make it to a game three and the MOL League game one would be on March 8th then the club would not travel to Miskolc for the opening match. The MOL League had already changed their finals series schedule once to accommodate HC Nové Zámky.
