With a 3-0 win over KHL Medvescak Zagreb, the Russian representative for the Kontinental Hockey League will play the home team for a spot in Wednesdays final.

In the afternoon of today's game the 3rd placed and pointless Medvescak Zagreb from Group Cattini met up with 2nd placed Salavat Yulaef Ufa from Group Torriani. During the regular season of the KHL both teams met once in October where Ufa won 3-1. The only noteworthy scene happened just seconds before the period ended, Ufa's Dubrovskiy came off the bench, received the pass from Mereskin and got a shot on Heeter, the rebound ended on Semin's stick who just had to put the puck in goal for Ufa's first goal of the game.

Second period, the tempo remained on the same level but except for two minor penalties against Zagreb, Ufa wasn't able to increase the score and that was the story for the second period.

With the start of the 3rd period the Russians finally made more of their chances and dominance over Zagreb as Golovanov scored the second goal unassisted in the 50th minute. Pascal Pelletier was benched in the 52nd minute with a double minor when just second before the penalty ended, Teemu Hartikainen capitalized on a pass from Alexey Glukhov and Anton Slepyshev. The rest of the period, both teams took place in the cooling box several times but it didn't change anything about the result. With this, Zagreb finishes the tournament with zero points and 1 goal in three games. Ufa will face Davos tomorrow afternoon.
