After the first day of games, CHL Disciplinary Committee punished checks to the head

 
 
 
 

Three players received suspensions after the first day of competition in the new Champions Hockey League, all for checking to the head.

Niklas Arell (Färjestad) and Zack Torquato (Sparta Prague) received one game suspension and will miss games on August 23, while Aron Chmielewski (Ocelari Trinec) has received a 2-game suspension and will miss August 23 and September 4 games
