A colorless performance of the HCAP, bring back the Leventina down to earth. All to come back again.

Series tied 2-2An HCAP unable to react to the goal scored in the first minute by Alain Mieville. An ending that you could guess by the end of the first period, with HCAP quite ineffective in front of goal and still unable to create any form of danger. This is the picture of Saturday night in a Valascia sell-out, Valascia that was ready to enjoy quite different results.
On the ice Ambri-Piotta was not too much determined, with a dull performance of its stars and with the only Julian Walker groped to break the deadlock. In this context it was only a matter of time, the final was a foregone conclusion. In fact, however, not a shining EHC Biel managed to close the game already in the second period with two goals in 5 minuntes scored by Clarence Kparghai and Stefan Tschannen. For statistic interest only, the fourth goal in the third period was scored by Rico Fata (best player).

Lugano wins series 4-0The other side of Ticino celebrates the long-awaited end of the season. At the Diners Club Arena in Rapperswill, Lugano got the better of the Lakers, which closed only in a tough match in overtime. Captain Julien Vauclair puts an end to a season that would finally be the season of rebirth, transformed instead into one more nightmarish season.
Lugano, pulled by Petteri Nummelin who finally are found, can flip a difficult game that was giving to the Lakers the hope to extend the season at least one more game. Big regret of the hosts, the three heavy powerplay was not been exploited during overtime.
At the end of the game captain
Julien Vauclair refuses to make judgments about the choices of the corporate about the trainers, and expresses positive words for the new approach of Greg Ireland. Heavy words to the team, to all players including himself: "I am very disappointed, we have changed three coaches but we had to change ourselves. This team has started playing as a team, as a group, only to end of the season. We all have the wrong approach to the whole regular season, thinking that another player would do the job for us, every player in every game had thought that in that game would have been spared for the next game, so his work would have done by someone else".
