For the fourth time in a row the Elitserien semi final game between Skellefteå and Linköping ended 2-2 after 60 minutes and must be decided in overtime. Linköping won the first time but then Skellefteå has won three.
The game winner this time was the same as last game: Oscar Lindberg. Linköping had opened the overtime period best and established pressure in the Skellefteå zone. But on a fast attack Oscar Lindberg got the puck from Adam Pettersson and scored the game-winner on Christian Engstrand at 64:48.
After a scoreless first period in Linköping Skellefteå scored twice in the second. Petter Emanuelsson and Joakim Lindström got a goal each. In the third period Simon Hjalmarsson scored twice for Linköping. One goal in the first minute and one in the last and the game went to overtime for the fourth time in a row. On all previous occasions the team who tied the game won the overtime, but not tonight.
Skellefteå now leads the series 3-1 and has a home game on Friday.
