The away team was down 2-0 but won 3-2 in overtime. Last time Linköping, tonight Skellefteå won the close Elitserien semi final battle.
Linköping scored two early goals and had the lead for 52 minutes before Viktor Arvidsson tied the second game of the semi final series for Skellefteå at 59:28. John Klingberg then scored the overtime winner at 66:43 to tie the series.
The first three goals of the games were scored within three minutes. First Mattias Bäckman scored 1-0 for Linköping at 07:34 and less than two minutes later Carl Söderberg made it 2-0 with a short-handed goal. Oscar Lindberg then used the same power play to score Skellefteå's first goal at 10:33.
Skellefteå tied the game in the last minute of the second period but it was disallowed since Linköping's goalie Christian Engstrand had fallen behind the net.
The series continues on Monday in Skellefteå.
