Vålerenga can see them self as champions of regular season in Norway. That’s their 28th league title in the history.
Vålerenga started the season of with a great winning-streak, but Stavanger came strong and took over the first place in the ladder. Vålerenga wouldn’t give up and came back really strong at the end of the season. With a great winning-streak they managed to secure their 28th league title, with three rounds to go.
They ended seven points ahead of Stavanger who managed to secure the second place in front of Lørenskog (3rd).
In the middle of the ladder Sparta, Frisk Asker and Lillehammer battled for the important fourth place. And the excitement lasted until the last round. Sparta managed to get the fourth place just in front of Lillehammer (5th) and Frisk Asker (6th).
Even if Vålerenga won the league early, the battle for the last play-off place still continued. Stjernen and Rosenborg battled up, but when Stjernen managed to beat Rosenborg 4-3 in the second to last round, they secured the last play-off place.
Rosenborg and Tønsberg, who ended in 9th and 10th place, have to play a qualification-series to see if they can still be in GET-ligaen next year.
The play offs starts Saturday 2nd of March.
