Timrå still hopes

After the away win against Växjö Timrå is now only five points from the important tenth spot of Elitserien to avoid the relegation games. The problems for Brynäs gets more serious after another loss.

There is still hope for Timrå to reach the tenth spot to avoid Kvalserien after the key win away to Växjö. Växjö took the lead after a few minutes on a goal by Alexander Johansson. Johan Andersson tied it in the first period. Timrå's winner was scored at 49:14 by Matt Murley.

Brynäs IF - Rögle BK 1 - 2

Last season's champion Brynäs is in deep trouble. After the home loss to Rögle the team is only five points from missing the playoffs when chasing AIK has played a game less. At least Brynäs got one point after a late equalizer by Andreas Thuresson. Rögle then won the game in overtime on a goal by Juhamatti Aaltonen. Ted Brithén had scored Rögle's first goal.

Färjestads BK - MODO Hockey 3 - 0

The goalie of Färjestad Alexander Salak shut out MODO in the 3-0 win. Patrik Lundh, Christian Berglund and Joakim Nygård got the goals.

HV 71 - Linköpings HC 3 - 4

Robin Figren scored the winner when Linköping got the shootout win in the derby against HV71. HV had a 2-0 lead after one period, Linköping a 3-2 lead after the second. In the third Marcus Nilson tied it for the home team with his second goal of the game.

One of the hottest players of the league right now is Skellefteå´s Oscar Möller. Today he got another two goals including the winner when Luleå was beaten 4-3 in a shootout game.
