Slovakia's 5-3 win over Latvia sets up for a decisive game between Germany and Latvia that decides which team that will be relegated.

Latvia probably did their best game of the tournament but fell short as they lost 3-5 to Slovakia despite outshooting the opponents 40-27. Adam Nagy came up big with 37 saves to give Slovakia a ticket back for next year's tournament in Sweden.

Latvia got a dream start to the game with a goal by Karil Ozolins already after 1:26 but Slovakia came back and tied it at 14:03 after a goal by Adam Bires and took the lead in the second period with two goals by Mikus and Dano.

Latvia made a strong third period and tied the game after goals by Jevpalovs and Kulda. But with five minutes left the Slovaks came back with the game winning goal scored by Andrej Bires, his second goal of the game. Marko Dano also got his second goal of the game and fourth of the tournament with an empty net goal.

Dano has a total of eight points and has been a key factor in that Slovakia managed to avoid relegation. For Latvia there will be a decisive game against Germany tomorrow. The winner will stay in the Elite division, the losing side will play in Division 1 next year.
