The Czech Ice Hockey Association has confirmed that the World Championship 2015 will be held in two cities - Prague and Ostrava, as originally planned.

Slovakia Hockey Federation previously offers their neighbors to hold the World Championship in Prague and Bratislava, but the Czech side have chosen to keep the original intent, which as approved by delegates at the Congress of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) in May 2010.
ČSLH President Tomáš Král in a letter to the President of the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (SZLH) Igor Nemecek stressed that his organization really appreciated the offer received, and that the analysis proceeded with maximum responsibility.

"Both options are considered in all aspects. When deciding we took into account, inter alia, the process of preparation of institutions in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the city of Ostrava, as well as the impact that would mean to change the original intent for the city and region."

In the same letter Kral praised the level at which Slovak Ice Hockey Federation has prepared the World Championship in 2011 and promised to support the Slovak candidacy to organize the next World Championship.
