Polls are closed and winners announced

The SAIP (Swiss Association of Icehockey Players) announced the winners of the 2012 Swiss Golden Player Award. The cer emony will be held onSunday, November 25 at the Stade de Suisse in Bern. As expected, EV Zug (and Detroit Red Wings) forward Damien Brunner was elected the MVP of last league, when he finished the season as top-scorer. He takes over from Petr Sykora

Here is the list of winners (Season 2011-2012):

Best goalkeeper: Reto Berra (EHC Biel)

Best Defender: Maxim Noreau (Ambrì-Piotta) and Mathias Seger (ZSC Lions) (same number of votes)

Best winger: Damien Brunner (EV Zug)

Best center: Andres Ambühl (ZSC Lions)

Best Young: Christoph Bertschy (SC Bern)

NLB best player: Stefan Tschannen (SC Langenthal now at Olten)

Golden Player 2012: Damien Brunner (EV Zug)
