NADA Belarus prepared a proposal to tighten penalties for doping

Belarusian National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) proposes to introduce a prison term of up to three years for the distribution and storage of doping, as well as for inducing young athletes to the use of banned substances.
NADA director Alexander Vankhadlo said that proposals to criminalize the distribution and storage of doping, as well as for inducing minors to the use of them were sent to the National Centre for Legal Studies a few months ago. Along with them were sent proposals to introduce administrative responsibility for coaches whose athletes use doping, but the specific amount of penalties is not specified.
According Vankhadlo, based on proposals for changes to the Criminal Code was on the experience of the fight against doping in many countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Austria, Italy. By the way, the Italian law provides criminal liability for the use of performance enhancing drugs.
At the Olympic Comittee meeting last October 26, IOC president Alexander Lukashenko urged to criminalize the use of doping in sport.
