Jokerit keeps series alive
While Jokerit used their last chance to stay in competition, Pelicans are only one win away from reaching the finals.
Blues-Pelicans 4-6 (series 1-3)
Pelicans Lahti took their third win in this semifinal series by beating Blues Espoo in a high scoring game.
Game was decided by a weak goaltending of Blues's Antti Ore. The in the whole
playoffs usually very stable Ore was very shaky and was pulled from the
ice after the fourth goal of Pelicans.
Both teams didn't play typical playoff hockey and made easy
mistakes. Blues was more dominant in the game and created more scoring
chances but Pelicans was the one who managed to score more often.
Pelicans coach Kai Suikkanen said quite right after the game when he
said that sometimes it is not needed that you play well, it is enough
when you play better than your opponent.
Jokerit-JYP 2-1 (series 1-3)
Jokerit Helsinki stayed alive when they finally managed to win JYP
Jyväskylä. Game was same kind as earlier three games but this time
Jokerit win. Game was decided in the third period when JYP's Eric Perrin
overplayed and that allowed an odd man rush for Jokerit and Janne Lahti
scored 2-0.
JYP will have next match ball on Wednesday at home.
