Dynamo sweeps out SKA from the Gagarin Cup race, forward Mikhail Anisin was one of the best in this series scoring 4 goals, two of them became game-winning.

Dynamo wins series 4-0

The game 4 home team started more active and used this advantage soon. Denis Mosalyov took a pass on the blue line, came to the zone and fired under the crossbar to make it 1-0 for Dynamo. They gradually increased their lead in the first period Mikhail Anisin doubled the advantage finishing a combination in power-play. Leonid Komarov ended Dynamo’s streak in the first period with a shorthanded goal at 14:08. SKA goalie Jakub Stepanek was substituted by Ilya Ezhov.

Dynamo scored again in the beginning of the second. Konstantin Gorovikov scored a shorthanded goal by adding the puck into the net after Komarov’s breakaway. Dynamo made it 5-0 when Anisin came through the SKA defensive zone and sent the puck near Ilya Ezhov who lost his net at this moment. Anisin was unstoppable this night and made a hat-trick in 6 minutes at 33:03. SKA answered only in the end of the second when Dmitry Kalinin scored a tip-in goal. In the last period the teams only managed to make 14 shots and finish the game. Dynamo thrashes SKA in the last game and in the conference final at all.

Head coach Olegs Znaroks for the second time in three seasons led his team to the finals. Now Dynamo will wait for the opponent in pair Traktor, Avangard where Avangard leads 2-1 in the series.
