Färjestad wins again

Färjestad took a 2-0 lead in the quarter final against HV71 while Frölunda tied the series against Brynäs.
Färjestad - HV71 3-1
Färjestad has taken a 2-0 lead in the quarter final series against HV71. Färjestad took control from the start of the game and took the lead at 9:45 when Jonas Brodin found the net on the power play. After the goal HV71 took a timeout. After the timeout HV71 played better but it took until 1:51 into the second period before the tie came when Jukka Voutilainen deflected a shot by Petrasek on a power play.
After that goal both teams had chances but it was Färjestad who scored after a great pass by Mikael Johansson who left Per Åslund with an open net. With just under two minutes left Christian Berglund added the third goal on the empty net. HV71's coach Ulf Dahlén said "We play really good and create a lot of chances, but we have to score more goals."
Frölunda - Brynäs 2-1Frölunda tied the series against Brynäs after a one goal win at home. Frölunda dominated the first period with 18-5 in shots but it was Brynäs who took the lead after six minutes by Jesper Ollas. Ten minutes later Frölunda tied the game when Fredrik Eriksson scored with a shot after a won faceoff.
The game winner was scored at 14:46 into the second period when Mathis Olimb scored after picking up the puck after a lucky bounce on the power play. Brynäs pushed forward for an equalizer but Frederik Andersen played really well in net and Frölunda won 2-1.
