The attached video is so surprising, that it almost seems like a fake. Alex Radulov, a forward of KHL club Salavat Yulayev Ufa, hits own goaltending coach Illar Näckel directly into the face using his hockey stick. This fact is strange itself, but much more surprising is Näckel’s reaction. He did not react at all!
The users of Youtube.com are currently in a discussion if it was an unintentional hit and Radulov just wanted to hit the glass behind the bench to release the emotions or if it was a wanted attack.
The more radical part of subscribers thinks he wanted to hit Näckel, because just a while before the hit he took a look behind himself and had to notice Näckel’s presence. The second part thinks it was just an accident. Watch the video and make your own opinion:
On its official website, the Czech Television wrote that the incident occurred during a game of Ufa in Astana, but it is incorrect information. Even you cannot recognize from what game is this video coming of, you can be pretty sure it is not from Astana.
The view of camera covers a part of the seats with a specific red painting of the walls behind the ground level of the stands. Similar to the ring what is in the Ufa Arena. There are no red walls in the Kazakhstan Sports Palace. The second proof is, that Salavat usually wears the dark-green uniforms during the home games. In Astana, the players have had the white combination on.
