Sheffield Steelers complete their roster.
Sheffield Steelers (EIHL) went down the Czech route in signing two netminders to become a further team to complete their roster in this league.
Pavel Kantor (27) and Tomas Duba (38) will backstop the Steelers this coming season and will arrive in Sheffield for the commencement of the clubs training camp on Monday.
Kantor stands 6’2 and joins the Steelers from the Czech top division where he had a spell with BK Mlada Boselav and ended the season at HC Ocelari Trinec, (Tipsport extraliga).
After playing his junior hockey in Pisek, Kantor represented his Country at the U20 level.
Having played in the 2nd and 3rd divisions Kantor became a regular starter in the Extra-Liga in 2013 with HK Hradec Kralove where he spent two seasons.
Tomas Duba began his pro career when he was drafted by Pittsburgh but moved to Finland where he played for two seasons in the SM-liga. Since then he has spent his career with Lexsands (SHL), Assat (SM-Liga), Bolzano (Italy) Krefeld (DEL) and Klagenfurter (EBEL). He ended last season with Gangone High 1 of the Asian League.
He has experience as a part time netminding coach and this will undoubtedly help his fellow countryman as well as Head coach Aaron Fox.
