The head coach of Tre Kronor, Rikard Grönborg (image) will leave his position and will be replaced by Johan Garpenlöv.
Today it was announced that Rickard Grönborg will leave the position of the Swedish National Team, Tre Kronor after the end of this season. Grönborg who has been head coach since 2016 will be replaced by former NHL-player Johan Garpenlöv, 50.
Grönborg has won two golds at the World Championship and will end his time as head coach with trying to win a third at the World Championships in Slovakia in May 2019.
Garpenlöv is currently assistant coach of Grönborg and will step up to head coach when Grönborg leaves after the World Championship.
