Sheffield Steelers take an early lead into October by one point from rivals Manchester Storm,Cardiff Devils and Nottingham Panthers.
There is a huge disparity in the standings at the moment,however, due to the fact that the Eihl Challenge Cup is taking place.
As can be seen below Dundee and Edinburgh are bottom but they have played far fewer league games; in fact things don't usually become more settled until the end of next month.
