A massive shutout by Canada in the open division led the way on the third day of ice hockey action at the 20th Maccabiah Games, which saw two games total.

Canada has the largest win of the tournament so far, defeating Germany 20-0 to begin the day. Corey Kalk had three goals and six points for Canada, adding to a total that saw Aaron Berisha score 3, Jonah Goodman score 3 and Taylor Carnevale total four markers.

It was the biggest win in ice hockey at the tournament overall, with Canada beating Israel 12-0 in 2013 previously holding the title.

Russia was able to take the 5-3 victory over Israel later in the day, clawing back after losing 12-3 to the Americans on Friday. Sergei Abramov led the way with two goals for Russia, while Artem Sursov, Evgenii Popitich and Vasilii Vinogradov each popped one for their home nation.

Russia will be back in action Monday with a 5:00 PM local time match against Germany. Israel will also be back on the ice, facing the United States at 8:30 PM.
