Meet Hans Kossmann, the new head coach of the Leventinesi

Serge Pelletier is no longer Ambrì-Piotta's coach. The Canadian has been fired today after the 6-3 loss against Lugano, itself without a trainer since last Thursday.

But, while Lugano has yet to announce the substitute of Patrick Fischer, Ambrì has already put a new face on the bench: Hans Kossmann, the Canadian-born trainer who played in Switzerland during his whole career, both in the National League A and B. Genève, Rapperswil and Lausanna are just some of the teams where Kossmann was part of the defensive line between the mid-Eighties and the Nineties, later serving as assistant coach for Servette, Lausanne, and Bern and then as coach for Fribourg-Gotteron.

With Fribourg, he was quite successful, helping the Francophone team reaching two semifinals and a final; he will serve as Ambrì's trainer until the end of the 2016-17 season starting from next Wednesday, when he will be on the bench for the Swiss Cup game against the second-tier team La Chaux-de-Fonds.
